"openSUSE Linux Unleashed"

This acronym stands for Simple
Traversal of UDP (User Datagram Protocol) through NATs, and it basically allows Ekiga to
get through your firewall.
The fourth screen identifies your audio manager (ALSA by default) and indicates what
application handles audio input and output. You should have your microphone plugged
in by this point. Click Test Settings to confirm that these are correct. You??™ll be asked to
speak into the microphone, and seconds later you should hear your voice coming out of
your speakers. If you don??™t, play with the options some more.
The final screen locates your webcam and configures video accordingly. The setup wizard
is then complete, and the Ekiga phone displays. You can adjust any of these settings.
Once set up, Ekiga will put an icon in your GNOME or KDE taskbar, announcing your
availability to the network. To place a call, right-click the icon and select Call from the
menu. If you don??™t want an interruption while you??™re working, you can select Do Not
Disturb from this menu. You won??™t receive calls while this flag is active.
