"openSUSE Linux Unleashed"

This is an exciting way to find new music, as well as
familiar tunes packaged in different ways. You can also keep up with the news??”or your
friends??”through podcasting.
Many of these players work with the Last.fm web music service. The idea behind Last.fm
is to use the songs you listen to, compare your favorite music to other users, and use the
results to recommend new music that you might like. The service can also introduce you
to others with similar musical tastes. You can learn more about artists, albums, and songs
at the site as well, both from ???authorized??? sites and the community wiki pages. Last.fm
has its own Linux player, available at its site, if you??™d like to try it out.
You can use your iPod or other portable music player with your Linux computer as well,
courtesy of the libgpod library. Some of these applications have stronger support for
portable players than others, but it??™s all outlined here.
All the players can burn tracks from your hard drive onto CD, if you have a CD-RW drive.
Only a couple can rip music from a CD to your hard drive.
