It may be easier to
open a file manager and drag the files you want into the Editor.
Right-click in the editor and select Save from the Playlist menu to create an m3u list,
which is then portable into any player that supports MP3 files.
Radio and Podcasts
XMMS supports all types of streaming audio, but you need to go to the Play menu and
select Open Location. Type (or paste) the URL of the station, and you??™re on your way.

Want to find interesting radio stations to play on XMMS? Get the Streamtuner via YaST.
It offers a list of stations, both Internet-based and terrestrial (that is, they also broadcast
over the air in some location). The directory is organized by genre for easy
sampling. Streamtuner works with other players, but XMMS is the default.
XMMS does not support podcasting, at least to the point of retrieving broadcasts when
new ones are produced. Since all audio podcasts are in formats that XMMS understands, it
can stream these live. Do not paste the XML feed address into the Open Location box,
though.
