"openSUSE Linux Unleashed"

??? For the long
term, developers are working on a new technology, the Generic Graphics Library
(GEGL), that will fully support CMYK color separation and other ???deep color??? issues.
If you produce images for print, these two issues may be critical, and you may need to
keep a copy of Photoshop around. Be aware that you can run Photoshop under
Crossover Office, the Codeweavers cross-platform tool.
Drawing Pictures
Painting pictures is often one of the first things a new computer user tries. It??™s a great way
to learn how to use a mouse by clicking and dragging around a blank canvas with assorted
tools that emulate spray paint, colored pens, and polygonal rubber stamps. It??™s also hard to
imagine the World Wide Web without vector graphics decorating every page, since they
load so much faster than photographs with millions of colors available to the palette.
Vector graphics are so important and common to modern communication that all the
office productivity suites, regardless of supported operating systems, contain a vector
drawing application (often in the guise of a presentation program).
