"openSUSE Linux Unleashed"

Skencil
This drawing application, originally known as Sketch, is very similar to Inkscape, but
much less user friendly. There is no help file or other documentation included with the
application (though a User??™s Guide is posted online).
Experienced graphic artists should like the interface (Figure 10.13), and should be able to
get much out of the tool. Skencil creates SVG, Adobe Illustrator, and PDF files in addition
to its own format.
Creating a straight line is a bit easier in Skencil than in Inkscape. Select the Draw Poly-
Line tool (a yellow pentagon in the toolbar) and click in two spots to create a simple line.
Dragging the mouse with this tool creates a fuller, more freehand-style line. Right-click on
the line and select Line from the context menu to choose an arrowhead (in the right
section of the dialog box, under the Width setting).
Skencil does not support layers, but you can group and arrange objects and set the level
of opacity (which is whether objects can bleed through other objects).
Graphics Formats
When you work with digital images, there seems to be a million different formats.
