Michael McCallister

"openSUSE Linux Unleashed"

0 was released on January 30, 2006. It is not installed automatically, but you
can get it via YaST.
Both current versions of Mozilla and Firefox offer tabbed browsing (no more separate
browser windows unless you want them), effective (and selective) popup ad blockers, and
support for RSS and Atom webfeeds. The latter lets you create Live Bookmarks for blogs
and other sites that deliver continuing updates. Look for the square orange icon in the
address bar of Figure 13.1. Besides Live Bookmarks, Firefox 2.0 gives you the option of
subscribing to sites via your favorite online newsreader (see the RSS section of Chapter 16,
???Collaborating with Others???) .
Personalizing and Enhancing Firefox and SeaMonkey with Add-Ons
Firefox is a terrific and quick-loading browser installed as is, but its modular design lets
you make it more powerful (or just more personal) through the use of themes, search
engines, and extensions. The Mozilla team created the XML User Interface Language
(XUL, pronounced ???zool???) to facilitate the easy development of extensions.
