If you use electronic mailing lists, you??™ll find KMail will help you immensely. KMail is
very list-aware. That list-awareness is expressed in many ways:
. Right-click a list message and you can create a filter for that list from the context
menu (Create Filter, On Mailing List, ).
. KMail will display messages in threads if you like. You can also perform some
actions on whole threads: Delete Thread, Ignore Thread (which automatically marks
messages in the ignored thread as Read, so that you can see them later if you want),
and Watch Thread (which marks each new message in the thread with a Watch icon
so that you don??™t miss them). You can set this globally in the KMail configure
screen or folder by folder.
. Some lists are configured so that when you reply to a list message, it goes to the list;
others send replies to the message author. In KMail, regardless of how things are set
at the list, you can choose where it goes. Press L to reply to the list, press Shift+A to
Reply to Author, and press A to reply to All.
. If you have a mailing-list folder selected, go to the Folder menu and select Mailing
List Management.
