"openSUSE Linux Unleashed"

While
Firefox (and perhaps Thunderbird) have reached version 2.0, Sunbird is still at version 0.5.
At the same time, Sunbird is surprisingly robust even in its current state. You can install
the MozillaSunbird package in YaST.
Its clean interface, with big print for day and date columns, makes it easy to glance at
your calendar and get a sense for what??™s happening. Events and appointments can be
scheduled by double-clicking anywhere in the calendar. The start time for your event is
set depending on where you click. This is, of course, adjustable if Sunbird didn??™t guess
right. Unlike many calendars that set appointments only at 15- or 30-minute intervals,
you can set events to start at, for example, 9:35 AM in Sunbird.
There are no built-in calendars in Sunbird, so you can??™t add your country??™s holidays immediately,
but the project has a Holiday Files page on its website. Meanwhile, importing calendars
from this site or iCalShare.com is a three-step wizard process. Sunbird also supports the
calDAV standard, though this is shakier in this version than the iCal support.
