The server with BIND installed is called a DNS server. Let??™s continue discussing what DNS
is, its inner workings, and how it works with Linux.
DNS Hierarchy
After you understand how the DNS is used for communication, you should also understand
how it??™s entered as a URL into a computer web browser such as Konqueror. Figure 27.3
shows a standard web browser with a URL inserted.
