"Administering Windows Server 2008 Server Core"

To help you avoid some of the issues that I encountered,
Administering
Windows Server 2008 Server Core
provides a number of procedures that will help you get Server
Core up and running quickly.
If your command line skills are rusty,
Administering Windows Server 2008 Server Core
provides
complete documentation of all of the command line commands and utilities you need to work
with this product. You??™ll also discover techniques for working with Server Core from the client
and even reusing setups you may have used in the past so that you don??™t have to re-create them
from scratch in Server Core. This book helps you understand precisely what you??™re getting
when you install Server Core on your system, both the positive and the negative.

INTRODUCTION
That??™s right, there are some negatives when working with Server Core and
Administering Windows
Server 2008 Server Core
tells you all about them. There are some issues you can??™t fix. For example,
Server Core doesn??™t support the .NET Framework and there really isn??™t much you can do about it
(although, you??™ll find some handy tips in Appendix A that may ease the pain). It also isn??™t possible
to use Server Core as an application server in some respects.
