At this
point, you finally see the messages that the setup program normally displays when configuring a
new operating system. At some point, you??™ll see a command prompt as shown in Figure 1.1 and
that??™s it.
No, your system isn??™t broken. You won??™t see a Start menu or any of the other usual GUI features
of Windows. Unlike other versions of Windows, you perform all configuration tasks at the command
prompt. (If you want to get a quick look at some of the available commands, try the Help
command described in the ???Obtaining Command Line Help with the Help Utility??? section of
Chapter 5.) The following steps will help you get started setting up the server.

Net User
YourLoginName
YourPassword
/Add
and press Enter. (The Net utility is one
of the more useful utilities at your disposal and you??™ll find it fully documented in the ???Managing
the Network with the Net Utility??? section of Chapter 10.) This step sets up an account
for you. Of course, you won??™t have administrator level privileges.
