The display doesn??™t have many configuration options??”you can??™t change the display to show
you other statistics. The View Update Speed menu has entries that let you change how fast the
display updates the statistics. You can also choose how to display the CPU information using the
View CPU History menu. Finally, you can choose whether to display user times or kernel times
for the CPU history. When you check the View Show Kernel Times option, the display shows

how much CPU processing time the operating system is using. This statistic appears as a red line
on the display (in addition to the green line that shows overall CPU usage).
Observing Network Statistics
The default Networking tab shown in Figure 1.7 shows the total network usage for each Network
Interface Card (NIC) on the server. This graph gives you an idea of how well the network is performing
and lets you make changes to the system setup to improve network health.
