For example, the TelNet utility discussed in Chapter 4 provides a

Working with the Remote Desktop Connection Application
The Remote Desktop Connection application provides the means to connect to Server Core for
remote management. You only need this application when you want to access the command prompt
on Server Core. For example, you won??™t need this application when you want to use a console to
create a remote connection or when you want to use a command line utility from a local machine
to make the connection. The Remote Desktop Connection application is exceptionally useful
because it does let you create a direct connection to the server. You can monitor events and manage
the system directly, which reduces one potential cause of failure (making the remote connection
every time you want to perform a task). Select Start
Programs
Accessories
Communications
Remote Desktop Connection to start the Remote Desktop Connection application.
