Scripts, Not Just for Those Who Tinker
There??™s a perception that scripting languages are so limited that you can only use them to create small
programs and that only people who like to tinker need consider using them. However, scripting languages
today are more powerful that you might think. For example, it??™s quite easy to write applications
that interact with Web services using scripts. I??™ve personally written scripts to interact with all of the
major online Web services including Amazon.com, Google, and eBay.
