-SetOption=Value Most versions of NSLookup use an actual -set command line switch.
However, when using the Windows version of NSLookup, specify the set option as part of the
command line switch. When required, you must also supply a value for the option. The timeout
option requires a value as part of the input, so you might type nslookup -timeout=30 mit.edu
and press Enter to give MIT additional time to answer a query. Some options are simply on or
off values that you don??™t need to set specifically. For example, type nslookup -d2 mit.edu and
press Enter to receive extensive information about the DNS configuration at MIT. If you use this
feature without specifying either a query or a computer to find, then NSLookup starts in interactive
mode using the settings you provided. Here??™s a list of standard NSLookup options.
-all Displays a list of the option settings, current server, and the current host.
-[no]debug Specify debug to display debugging information with the query.
