The main reason to use the MSInfo32 utility is to record a snapshot of the state of a system. The
data includes everything from the kind of processor installed on the system to the applications running
on it. In fact, you might be surprised at how much information this utility can record. Simply
open the graphical portion of the utility, shown in Figure 12.4, to see the various information categories.
Of course, you??™ll notice some missing categories as well. For example, Server Core doesn??™t

Choosing the Correct Utility
It??™s not always important to use the command line utilities that come with Windows. In some cases,
