"Administering Windows Server 2008 Server Core"

Try using the utilities to track what they??™re doing. The combination
of both activities should help build your skills quickly. After you??™re sure that you understand
the utilities completely, you can begin using them as part of batch files and scripts. For example,
you can use the output of the WhoAmI utility to determine the user??™s identity and perform tasks
based on that identity.
Chapter 21 takes you through the next step of the process of managing users. A secure system
is an essential part of the user environment. If the user can??™t trust the environment, then you??™ll
begin observing behaviors that tend to make the problem worse, rather than better. A computer
network relies on trust, which means providing the security that the user requires.
Chapter 21
Securing the System
The secure system, the one without any intrusion and without any security holes, is an illusion. It
isn??™t possible to create such a system because humans will always find a way to overwhelm or overcome
any security measure you put in place. To employ an old cliche, it??™s easier to destroy than
build. You as a builder are at a disadvantage from the outset and the nefarious individual who
wants to rob you of everything your system can provide knows it.
