Unfortunately, this technique
only works for applications. If you want to send a file to the Clipboard, for example, you??™re simply
out of luck. The Send To Toys 2.4 utility overcomes this particular problem. You can download this
utility at
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Send_To_Toys/1011999707/1
. The current
version performs these and other tasks as described in the following list.
?
Output data to a Control Panel applet.
?
Remove a file by sending it to the Recycle Bin.
?
Send any shortcut or application to the Quick Launch area of the Taskbar. The Quick Launch
area lets you execute your most common applications quickly. However, you could also
place a batch file or script in the Quick Launch area to work at the command line more
effectively.
?
Send any file to the Clipboard so that you can use its content directly. You can also save the
data using a specific name so that you can include multiple entries on the Clipboard (you??™ll
need to use the Clipboard Viewer to see them). In addition, you can send the output of any
command to the Clipboard instead of seeing the result on screen.
?
Send a file to the
\Windows\System32
folder.
