For a command prompt user, this feature
means that you can create a file anywhere, and then move it to the system folder for execution
with any of the command line utilities described in the book.
?
Output the filename to the command prompt. This option lets you copy a file from its current
location to the command prompt where you??™re working. You can additionally force the
use of
COMMAND.COM
(the old DOS command interpreter) in place of
CMD.EXE
. This feature is
possibly the most helpful for people who work at the command prompt regularly because
you no longer have to move things manually.
To give you an idea of how many options this utility adds to your Send To menu, look at
Figure 22.2. The figure on the left shows my original Send To menu setup. Notice that it already
includes a number of application entries, along with the standard Windows entries and a few
entries added by third-party products such as WinZIP. The menu on the right shows the updated
context menu with the Send To Toys features added.
