ASP support includes full ISAPI functionality because you can??™t have one without the
other. After you complete the installation, verify that the system has ASP support installed using
the OCList utility. Figure 24.5 shows the results when you update a standard installation to include
ASP support. Notice that the IIS-ISAPIExtensions feature is actually a parent of the IIS-ASP feature,
so you must install both as shown in the command line for this example.

Adding ASP support
means supporting
ISAPI as well.
Adding Support for PHP and FastCGI
PHP isn??™t a stand-alone product when working with IIS. You must install a third-party product in
order to obtain PHP support on IIS 7. The product that most people recommend for use with IIS
appears on the PHP Web site at
http://www.php.net/downloads.php
. Unless you want to perform
a lot of extra steps, you??™ll normally want to obtain the Windows version of PHP in ZIP format
found at
http://us3.php.net/get/php-5.2.4-win32-installer.msi/from/a/mirror
. Since
you can??™t download the file directly using Server Core, download it using a client machine and
copy it to a folder to which you have access on Server Core.
