size of each pixel, which inevitably leads to degradation of the image. Therefore,
upsizing an image is not recommended. When you resize an image, you can
also change the image resolution.
1. Choose Image | Resize | Image Size to open the Image Size dialog box.
2. Click the Constrain Proportions check box. This resizes the image proportionately,
which means you need to enter only the width or height, and Photoshop Elements will
calculate the size of the other dimension to resize the image proportionately.
3. Type a value in the Resolution field, or accept the current image resolution.
4. Type the desired width or height into the applicable field. If you type a dimension in the
Pixel Dimensions section, Photoshop Elements will supply the proper dimensions for
the Document Size section, and vice versa.
5. Click OK to resize the image.
Save Edited Images
After you??™ve done all your editing and your image is pixel perfect, you can save
the image for future use. Photoshop Elements has two commands for saving a file:
Save and Save As. Use the Save command to save a file in its original format, and
use the Save As command when you want to save the file in a different format.
