"Practical Data Analysis and Reporting with BIRT"

This Data Source is not meant to be a production Data
Source, and a report environment would not be used in a real-world development
shop. It is provided as an example Data Source, which is used as a teaching aid, and
demonstrates how an ODA Data Source would function in BIRT. When using this
Data Source, you provide no information as it is all self-contained in the Classic
Cars Data Source itself. We will use this Data Source in a number of examples
throughout this book.
The second Data Source is the DTP (Data Tools Project) XML Data Source. The XML
Data Source is a driver that allows developers to use XML files as a data source.

Let me give you an example of this. Let's say I have an XML file containing some
entries with Employee information. I want to use this XML data file as a Data Source
for a report. The XML file looks like the following:

John
Ward
Developer

Bunson
Honeydew
Professor

Bert

Fuzzy Muppet

Ernie

Sidekick

Notice that I am not using any namespacing prefixes in the XML elements.
