2. Parallel ??”The objects of the set are all processed in parallel. This means
that there is no defi ned sequence. They don ??™ t necessarily have to be processed
concurrently.
3. Streaming ??”The objects of a set are all fed to the processing as one fl ow.
Similar to an assembly line, no object has to wait for processing of the previous
object to be complete to place a new object on the assembly line.

Defi nition
An activity partition divides the nodes and edges of an activity into partitions
based on defined common features.
It is common to assign the actions of an activity directly to structures of the system
that realize these actions. This can be expressed by an activity partition in the
activity diagram.
