4. To project the image from the gobo
light, select it, and press p to open the
Light Properties panel. If the Light
Properties panel is already open, you
can select the light from within the
panel by using the Current Light dropdown
arrow.Make sure that Shadow
Map is selected in the Shadows tab for
this light as well, or the light will cast
right through the teacup.
5. In the Light Properties panel for the
gobo light, select the Projection Image
drop-down list at the bottom and
select (load image), as shown in
Figure 4.24. Load the Tree_Gobo
image from this book??™s DVD (in the
???\Projects\Images\CH4\??? directory).
You can find it under the Images folder
in the Projects directory for this chapter.
LightWave v9 will show you the projected image when you??™re in Light view.

6. After the image has been loaded, press F9 to render. You??™ll see what appears to be
light through trees, across the set. The light is now projected through the grayscale
image, which you can see from Light view (see Figure 4.
