"Inside LightWave v9"

This chapter covers:
?—? Working with the 3D camera
?—? Exploring real-world camera settings
?—? Applying 3D cameras
?—? LightWave v9??™s new cameras
Focus on Cameras
At this point, you??™re probably familiar with LightWave??™s workflow. You should know that
cameras are available in LightWave Layout, not in Modeler. As you work with Layout,
you??™ll become familiar with the various
Properties panels associated with objects
and lights. The Camera Properties panel
controls all the necessary camera settings,
such as resolution, focal length, depth of
field, masking, and more. However, you
won??™t find render options in this panel.
Those are located in the Render Globals
panel, which you??™ll find by clicking Render
Globals in Layout??™s Render tab. Some programs,
such as Adobe After Effects, contain
all camera, resolution, and output information
in the same panel. LightWave uses the
Render Globals panel as a single location for
setting project resolutions, output options,
render properties, and more.
By now, having used several of Layout??™s
Properties panels in earlier chapters, you can
probably guess how to open the Camera
Properties panel (Figure 5.
