LightWave v9 cameras are not only easy to use
but also easy to set up. Creative camera use
can be useful for any type of scene, moving or
still, and we??™ve set up a number of projects
along these lines for you to learn from.More
specifically, you can use multiple cameras
when you have a large scene that has action
that needs to be covered from various angles,
such as a stage play, virtual walkthrough, or
an accident re-creation.Multiple cameras can
help you save time setting up animations that
need to be viewed from different angles.
Using the Camera Selector plug-in from the
Master Plug-ins, you can switch between specific
cameras during rendering.Also, you can
render passes from any camera in the scene.
In Exercise 5.1, we??™ll begin exploring creative
use of cameras in LightWave v9.
Exercise 5.1 Working with Cameras
1. From the File menu in Layout at the upper left of the interface, select Clear Scene.
Of course, save any work you might have done first. If you??™re just starting
LightWave, there??™s no need to clear the scene. LightWave remembers what you
worked on last, but it does not load that project automatically.
