Also, Limited Region enables you to render limited regions of very high-resolution
images. A custom resolution would not work this way.To turn off Limited Region, just press
l (lowercase L) while in Layout, or turn off the button from within the Render tab.
Note
If you render an image or animation with the borders setting, the image will appear
with a border that represents the rest of the unrendered frame. Conversely, rendering
with no borders displays only the limited region.
Segment Memory Limit
Head back over to the Render Globals panel (on Layout's Render tab) and, to the right
of Limited Region, you??™ll see the setting Segment Memory Limit. Too often, you??™ll run
out of RAM while you are creating animations. RAM, or the memory in your computer,
is used quickly by many images, large objects, and hefty render settings. The Segment
Memory Limit feature lets you tell Layout the maximum amount of memory to use for
rendering. Lower values allow you to render a frame in segments, which means the
frames might take a bit longer to load and execute. The trade-off is that you don??™t need
as much memory.
For faster renders, you can increase the segment memory.
