Setting a higher value allows LightWave to render animation
frames in one pass.
Chapter 5 3D Cameras 193
Rename and Select
Current Camera
Because LightWave allows you to add
more than one camera to your scene,
you need a way to select them to adjust
each item??™s properties. The Current
Camera selection list is at the top of
the Camera Properties panel. If you
have not added any cameras to your
scene, you will see only the item
???Camera.??? As you can in the Light
Properties panel, you can select and
rename this camera (or any you??™ve
added) directly in the Camera panel. If
you have added multiple cameras, they
will be listed here (Figure 5.14). All
cameras are available for selection in
the Current Item selection list at the
bottom of the Layout interface as well.
No matter what type of camera you??™ve
chosen??”a Classic Camera, Advanced
Camera, or otherwise??”they can all be
selected here.
Lens Focal Length and Zoom Factor
Two interrelated settings, Zoom Factor and Lens Focal Length, are often misunderstood,
and therefore overlooked, when it comes to working with cameras in LightWave. These
attributes are different ways of expressing the same thing; change either one, and the other
changes accordingly.
