see that areas of the scene fit into place. Visually look for three vertical and three horizontal
areas when viewing your shots.
By framing your shot in thirds in the vertical and horizontal views through the camera,
you have areas to fill with action. Remember, you need to visualize this grid when setting
up camera shots in LightWave. There is not an option to do this. By visualizing, you can
begin to think more about your shot and framing.
When thinking of thirds while setting up a shot, don??™t be too literal.Your objects don??™t need
to line up exactly into each third area.Visualizing your camera shot in thirds is a way to help
frame the entire field of view. Don??™t be afraid to try different camera angles and different
perspectives. Figure 5.34 shows the rule of thirds applied to a 3D scene in LightWave.
