Because LightWave creates motion curves between keyframes, you need to control the
curves for each keyframe. You can do this with the Graph Editor. However, there is a
quicker way to change this motion right in Layout. We??™ll use that option first and then
use the Graph Editor, so you can see both methods.
Before we tweak our teacup animation further, note that you can delete keyframes as easily
as you create them. Press Delete with the frame slider on a keyframe, and you??™ll call up
the Delete Motion Key dialog box, with the current frame already selected in the Delete
Key At field (Figure 6.15).
Figure 6.15 Deleting keyframes works the same way as creating them. Select an item to
adjust, go to a specific point in time, and click the Delete Key button at the bottom of Layout.
As with creating keyframes, the timeline slider does not need to be on the specific
keyframe to delete a key. Enter the number of the key you want to delete when the Delete
Motion Key dialog box opens.Again, use your numeric keypad to save time! And remember,
just as you can create keyframes for specific channels, you can delete them as well.
