5. You have the first part of the logo block built, so save it! Press Ctrl+s to Save As,
and save it as CurvyA. Each version you create from this point will be saved in
increments as 001, 002, 003, and so on, using Shift+s.

6. Start working in a new layer. To do this, click an empty layer button in the top
right of the interface. How do you know if it??™s an empty layer? A layer that has
geometry in it will have a small black dot. So, pick a layer without the dot. In a
new layer, also using the Pen tool, evenly create about 12 points around the center
space of the A, as shown in Figure 7.9.

7. Save your work by pressing Shift+s. This will save your object as a new version
with an incremental save.
A cool feature in LightWave v9 is the ability to save in increments.After you save an
object or scene for the first time, each time you press Shift+s afterward, you??™ll save an
incremental, numbered version of your project.
