13. Press s to save your work.
Note
Now you have your individual elements created. You cloned each in the same
layer. They will be animated as one object. But if you wanted to animate them
separately later in Layout, you??™d need to get each of them into their own layer.
14. Select the second swoosh. Press Ctrl+x to cut it from the second layer. Press 3 on
your keyboard (not the number keypad) or just click to Layer 3. Then, press
Ctrl+v to paste it down. You just moved an object from layer to another!
15. With the third swoosh object back in Layer 2, cut and paste it to Layer 4. You now
have Layer 1 as the ABN object, and Layers 2, 3, and 4 as the swoosh objects. Press
Ctrl+s to save your work.
If you were not going to animate them, you could leave them all on the same layer. However,
another thing you need to do to animate each layer properly is set their individual pivots.
Pivot Points in Modeler
Each layer in Modeler has its own X-Y-Z coordinate system, and when you create (or add)
an object to a new layer, the object is centered by default on the layer??™s origin point (coordinates
0, 0, 0).
