But what??™s more is that
you can use additional lights for added interest. And what will really make this project
stand out is the surfacing and background.
We have so much more to cover with LightWave v9, and it??™s time to move on. But there is
a lot more to this project, and I don??™t want to leave you high and dry. Pop open the book??™s
DVD and view the QuickTime movies showing you how to surface the text and then animate
it. From there, you??™ll see firsthand how that big large Curvy_A object will be used
with the background.
The Next Step
This chapter took you through some of the most basic LightWave operations. But the tools
used, the process in which you used them are always the same no matter how complex
your project might be. The next step, after you watch the videos on the book??™s DVD, is to
move on to Chapter 8 and learn about modeling still-life objects. As for this logo project,
it??™s up to you to use these steps and procedures to create your own logo for your company,
your client, or just for fun. In this chapter you??™ve learned how to build over background
images, use the text-creation tools, copy and paste into layers, set up lighting in
Layout, and set up parent-child relationships between objects.
