"Inside LightWave v9"

For the image,
choose the iPod_Face.jpg from the Chapter 9 folder of the book??™s DVD (in the
???\Projects\Images\CH9\??? directory).
5. Set the Image Resolution to 1024?—1024. You can leave all other settings alone.
Click OK to close the panel.
6. You should see an image of an iPod??™s front panel in your bottom-left viewport, as
shown in Figure 9.2.
Figure 9.2 To begin the project, load an image of an iPod in your bottom-left view.
You can keep the Numeric panel open all the time while you work in Modeler. As you
change tools, the panel will update accordingly.
7. Click, hold, and drag the zoom control in the top-right corner of the bottom Back
viewport to enlarge the backdrop image.
You can see that the image resolution is somewhat low, but for a gadget like this,
that??™s not too important. This is because you only need this backdrop image for
an initial shape. If you were modeling a more complex object, such as a cell phone
or remote control, you might want to use a higher resolution image.
8. Head on back to the Display Options panel (press d) and click its Backdrop
tab again.
9. Click BottR for the bottom-right view.
