For the image, select iPod_Side.jpg
from the book??™s DVD (in the ???\Projects\Images\CH9\??? directory). Set the Image
Resolution again to 1024?—1024, and then click OK to close the panel. Figure 9.3
shows Modeler with the two backdrop images loaded.
The backdrop images line up on the Y-axis, and they align perfectly because they
were created at the same scale and resolution in Adobe Photoshop. That??™s always
the best approach with reference images, but if you ever need to align differently
scaled backdrop images, you can adjust their sizes in the Display Options panel.

10. Now, the Side viewport is looking at the left side of the iPod. If you consider the
orientation of the face of the iPod, and where the 3D camera will be in Layout,
you??™ll see that the image is facing toward the positive Z-axis in the Right view. The
iPod front-panel backdrop in the Back viewport is facing the negative Z-axis, so,
you need to make an adjustment. Change the Right view to a Left view, and your
reference image will flip over (Figure 9.
