17. Press Shift+v to activate the Mirror tool. If the Numeric panel isn??™t still open,
press n to access it, and note the Mirror tool??™s settings. By default, it creates mirrorimage
duplicates of selected geometry, ???reflected??? across the X-axis. Since your
image has left-right symmetry and it??™s perfectly centered, the default mirror settings
need no further adjustment; the ring of points you created on the top-left
corner of the iPod image has been duplicated and reflected perfectly on the topright
corner (Figure 9.8).
Figure 9.8 The default mirror settings make it easy to copy the points from the left side of
the view to the right.
18. Close the Numeric panel, and then press the spacebar to turn off the Mirror tool.
19. Now to edit the points a bit before you move further.Make sure you??™re in Points
selection mode at the bottom of the interface. Then, select the points of each disc
that make up just the inside of the iPod. If your disc were a clockface, these would
be the along the edge from 3 through 12 for the disc on the right, and from 12 to
9 for the disc on the left, as shown in Figure 9.
