31. Switch to Polygons selection mode at the bottom of the interface, and press
Ctrl+x to cut the newly created polygon.
32. Go back to the first layer with your iPod object, and press Ctrl+v to paste the
polygon. Figure 9.33 shows the polygon in place.

Because you cut and pasted the polygon, it??™s not actually attached to the large
model??”it??™s just sitting in place. Sometimes that??™s good; sometimes that??™s bad. In
this case, you want to make sure the new polygon is attached.
Modeler??™s Merge tool is perfect for this job because it??™s used to fuse multiple
points with the same coordinates into single points.When you copied the points,
used them to create a polygon, and then pasted that polygon back to the original
object, you made the duplicate points occupy the
exact same space as the originals.
