Press n to
open the Numeric panel.
7. In the Numeric panel, choose Edges for Round Only. Leave the Rounding
Polygons selection set to 1. This value allows you to add multiple polygons when
the tool is applied. Finally, from the Preset Insets, choose the top value, 0.001000,
which equals a 1mm inset. Figure 9.39 shows the operation.
Figure 9.39 Using the Rounder tool, you can easily add that fine detail on the inside edges of
the LCD panel.
Occasionally, the nature of connections between polygons prevents Select Loop from
selecting an entire edge loop; if this happens, just Shift-click the omitted segments to
select them manually.

Figure 9.40 shows the model so far, and you can see how the edges now have just
that extra bit of detail for added realism. These added edges will catch the light
when rendered, later in Layout.
Figure 9.40 The iPod model is coming along nicely and starts to look better with beveled edges.
9. On your own, go ahead and bevel the outer edges of the iPod object, using either
the Edge Bevel or Rounder. Figure 9.41 shows the model with added edge bevels.
