Continue with the model you??™ve been creating. But at this point, if you haven??™t
already, press Shift+s to create an incremental save.
2. Go to a new blank layer, and place the iPod object in a background layer, as shown
in Figure 9.53.

3. Select the Disc tool on the Create tab. Holding the Ctrl key, draw out a disc in
the Top view, as shown in Figure 9.54. Place it toward the left side of the iPod
in the view.

4. If you look in the other views, you might notice
that the disc is located at the center of the object.
This is because you only concentrated on modeling
it in the Top view, which is fine. Now, you can
press t and move the disc up toward the top of
the model, in the Back view. Figure 9.55 shows
the example. If you hold the Ctrl key, you can

5. On the Multiply tab, select Extrude. Note that you should be working in Polygons
selection mode at this point.
