Grab points on the
top and side to shape, as shown in Figure 10.36.
Figure 10.36 Shape the feet by rounding them out.
13. Now the feet are connected at the center. This is because you were using the
Symmetry tool with polygons that were already connected. To separate them,
you??™ll need to turn off the Symmetry tool first. Then, select the two front polygons
of the right foot, as shown in Figure 10.37.
Figure 10.37 With the Symmetry tool turned off, select just the two front polygons of the
right foot.
14. Press e to run Extender Plus on the selected polygons, then use Move (press t) and
Drag (Ctrl+t) to shape. Figure 10.38 shows the result.

Figure 10.38 Multiply the selected polygons and pull them forward, and then shape with the
Move and Drag tools.
15. Deselect the polygons, and repeat the last two steps on the left foot. It??™s OK if the
feet are not identical??”in fact, it??™s good to have a slight variation as no animal or
human is perfectly identical on both sides. Figure 10.39 shows the feet.
Figure 10.39 Repeating the process for the left foot results in two penguin feet.
