This
chapter has given you a good overview of not only the modeling process but also the most
common tools used to accomplish a task. But it??™s not over yet! On the book??™s DVD are
QuickTime videos that take you to the next level with the character. You??™ll learn how to
surface the belly and then add added surface details. From there, you??™ll set up a bone structure
and animate the character. Chapter 12, ???Bones and Rigging,??? will use this character
as a project for learning LightWave??™s deformation tools, commonly known as bones.
But before you get there, how about continuing the surfacing process with some added
information on LightWave v9??™s new, cool, node-based texturing tools. Read on to understand
this complex area of the program.
