13. Like LightWave??™s traditional Surface Editor, you can blend each node in a
variety of ways, such as Multiply, Darken, Lighten, and so on. For this node,
leave Blending set to Normal.Many of the other values are merely controls
for size and position of the computer-generated texture. As you adjust these
values, you can see the change in the sample sphere within the node. Change
the U Tiles and V Tiles both to 3. This will repeat the texture and give a
stronger appearance, as shown in Figure 11.10.

14. Go ahead and close the Properties panel for the Turbulence2D node. Now, if you
take a look at your Surface Editor??™s sample sphere, as well as the base node sample
sphere, they are both still gray. The Turbulence 2D properties you just set won??™t
appear in the sample surface until you hook your nodes together and thus make
them part of the network. So, click the Color listing??™s red dot on the right side of
the Turbulence node and drag it to the Color dot on the base node (Figure 11.11).
