Click and drag the Crumple node panel to the left of the Marble node in the Node
Editor window.
12. Drag the Color output from Crumple to the Bg Color input on the Marble node.
13. Hook the Alpha output from Crumple to the Vein Spacing on the Marble node.
Select the Crumple node, and open its Properties panel by clicking the triangle
in the upper-right corner of the interface. Note that it is possible to connect the
Crumple node directly to the destination node if you like.
14. Set Bg Color to green and Fg Color to orange. Take a look at the sample spheres in
the Marble node and destination node to see how the outputs of this node affect
everything it??™s connected to. Figure 11.26 shows the change.

15. Go ahead and press F9 to render a frame to see the change (Figure 11.27).What
you end up with is a mossy, sort of crystallized surface.Why crystallized when you
applied marble? Remember that you took the Alpha from both the Crumple and
Marble, and hooked those through to both the specularity and glossiness of the
surface.
