You can always right-click a node for more controls such as properties,
cut, delete, and more.

15. Using the Gradient is simple, and to make
things clearer, you can watch the Gradient.mov
on the book??™s DVD (3D_Garage_Videos\
Chapter_Videos\CH11b_Gradients.mov), a
video project from the 3D Garage LightWave
v9 training course. Click into the large vertical
black bar, the gradient itself. This will create
a key as shown in Figure 11.45.
16. Now select the top original key. Set the Alpha
value to 0%, as shown in Figure 11.46.
17. Move the Gradient panel out of the way,
but don??™t close it. Take the Alpha (green dot)
output from the Gradient and hook it to the
Falloff input of the Kappa node, as shown
in Figure 11.47.
18. Taking a look at the sample spheres in
the nodes, it looks as if half of the surface
is cut off. Head back to the Gradient
panel, and change the Input setting from X Coordinate to Y Coordinate in order
to set the gradient from top to bottom.
