26. Feel free to make some more tweaks and render a few more frames. Then save
your work.
Note
Although this scene is nothing too exciting, it gave you a good overview of some basic
node setups that you can incorporate into your everyday 3D workflow. Now, read on to
the chapter??™s last project to texture your still-life object from Chapter 8.
Exercise 11.5 Advanced Node Setup
This chapter has covered a number of Node Editor features, and with the videos included
on the book??™s DVD, you should have a strong grasp of this powerful new feature in
LightWave v9. So this next project will take you further by applying textures to the stilllife
model you created in Chapter 8.You??™ll use techniques presented already, as well as new
ones, all within the Node Editor.
1. Save anything you??™ve been working on and clear LightWave Layout.
Try using this bump technique on the Capsule_1 surface. However, you don??™t need to
make a copy since the texture is computer generated. Just drag the Bump output of
the Crumple node to the Bump input of the destination node. Multiple bumps!
2. From the Chapter 11 projects folder on the book??™s DVD, load the FruitBowl
scene.
