The yellowish color will be
mixed with the second node, as shown in Figure 11.75.
Figure 11.75 Take the Color output of the Crackle node and attach it to the Bg Color input
of the Marble node.
12. Double-click the Marble sample sphere to open the Properties panel. You??™ll see that
the Bg Color setting is grayed out, which means you??™re not able to set the value.
This is because you have the Crackle node driving that value. This node replaces
Bg Color by generating high and low variations instead. So, change Fg Color to a
warm brown, perhaps with a little grayish tone, roughly R: 83, G: 83, B: 22.
13. Leave Opacity at 100%. Set Vein Spacing to 1.0 and Distortion to 1.0. Opacity
represents how much of the node you??™ll see or how strong its effect is.Vein
Spacing sets how close or far apart the marble veins are from each other. The
Distortion setting adds an interesting variation to the pattern.
14. Noise Scale should be 1.0. Then, change the Axis setting to Y. The banana was
built in such a way that setting the node value to the Y-axis will make the texture
run down the length of the banana. That is, the banana was built in LightWave
Modeler in a vertical, or Y-axis, orientation, and then saved.
