0, as shown in Figure 11.79.
Figure 11.79 Increase the amplitude of the Noise node.
19. Increasing the amplitude of the Noise node increases the strength of the noise
texture. Close the Properties panel, and then take the Result output of the Noise
node and connect it to the Function input of the Marble node. Figure 11.80
shows the connection.
Figure 11.80 Connect the Function output of the Noise node to the Function input of the
Marble node.
Note
20. Now take a look at your VIPER window, and you??™ll see that there is now a change
in the patterns of the Marble node. It??™s subtle but effective for this surface. You
can experiment with the values and watch the changes in the VIPER window.
21. The last thing to do is bring down the specularity, or
shine, of the banana. You can connect the Crackle
node??™s Alpha output to the Specularity input of the
destination node. This won??™t change how shiny the
banana is, but it will change the ???shape??? of the specularity.
As you can see in Figure 11.81, the specularity
is now broken with the Crackle node values. Pretty
cool??”you??™re using the same Crackle node to drive the
Specularity channel.
