Select the Body bone and press the y key to rotate the
bone. You??™ll see the object deform, as in Figure 12.12.

LightWave provides visual cues for differentiating between active and inactive bones.
Active bones have solid outlines and inactive bones have dashed outlines.And remember,
you can change the color of these lines to make bones easier to see by using the
Scene Editor??™s Visibility commands.
8. Make your bones completely visible in your solid shaded object by choosing the
Bone X-Ray mode from the top of Layout, as in Figure 12.13.

9. Press Ctrl+z to undo the Body bone rotation
so the character is in its original position.
Select the Neck bone and rotate it. You??™ll see
the head bend along with the neck. But it??™s
not quite right because the body deforms
along with the motion, as in Figure 12.14.
When the Body bone rotates, the entire penguin
body rotates, but you??™ll notice that the penguin??™s eyes
don??™t deform along with it.
