That??™s because they are
separate objects. As you??™ll recall from Chapter 10,
Character Modeling, you created the penguin eyes in
separate layers. The bones that influence the body
object do not affect other objects, even those within
the same model.

In the next exercise, you??™ll learn how adding hierarchies to the model will let you deform
the eyes and ensure that they move along with the penguin??™s head. You??™ll also use additional
hierarchies to make the motion of the penguin??™s lower body independent from that
of its upper body and to control the movement of its feet.
Creating Multiple Hierarchies
The body and head bones you??™ve added work very nicely to bend and animate the upper
part of this object, but you??™re not quite seeing the results you want just yet. You might
think that because you??™ve already created a hierarchy of bones, you don??™t need to build
onto this existing chain.However, you can create an entirely different hierarchy elsewhere
within the object.You created the first hierarchy starting with the Body bone.
