7. With RightBone (2) still selected, add another child bone by pressing =. Leave the
default name, RightBone (3).
8. Set this bone??™s Pitch value to 90 degrees, so it points down into the foot. Then, set
Rest Length to 1m, as in Figure 12.18.

9. Add one more child bone and set the Rest Length to about 1.3m, slightly larger than
the previous bone, so that it extends to the front of the foot, as in Figure 12.19.

10. Press 2 on the keyboard to move to a Top view. Taking a look at Figure 12.20,
you??™ll see that the bones in the feet don??™t quite fit??”but they did in the side view.
What gives? Just as with anything else you create in 3D, you need to be aware of
all axes. So, click RightFoot (3) to select it, and then press y to activate the Rotate
tool. Rotate the bone until its
Heading value is about 76 degrees.
Figure 12.21 shows the change.
11. Save your scene.
12. Now, activate all the bones by selecting
each bone and then pressing r.
13. After the bones have been activated,
select the Neck bone.
